Lot Overview




蜻蜓置物以銀為材,採多組銀件打出接合巧製而成,圓形頭,大複眼。胸部呈箱形,腹部細長,末端有八節尾鰓。兩對翅膀扁長,前後緣為流線形,表面由縱脈和橫脈交織分布,刻有六邊形格狀紋理,兩對翅膀的接連用一個鉚釘固定,和實體一樣可以上下揮動。六隻腳使用打入鉚釘方法製作,伸縮自如。
蜻蜓的日語為「蜻蛉」(とんぼ),古時亦稱「秋津」,初代天皇神武曾在高山上眺望國土時,感嘆本州就像交尾的蜻蜓一樣,因此從西元八世紀開始日本就和蜻蜓有著密不可分的關係。而蜻蜓只能前進無法後退的特性,象徵「勇往直前」,從戰國時代(1603 - 1868 年)開始受到武士們喜愛,在其裝備上作為裝飾,漸演變成武者們象徵勝利的勝物,如明尼阿波利斯藝術與設計學院庋藏十七世紀〈頭盔〉(圖一)。日本戰國時代武將武田信玄手下武田四天王之一的板垣信方(1489 - 1548 年)亦對蜻蜓頗為喜愛,根據記載,不只頭盔,包含其手甲、綁腿甚至和服花紋皆為蜻蜓。本件蜻蜓置物,整體刻鑿細緻,維肖維妙,工序繁複,翅、尾鰓、肢皆可活動,既是象徵勝利的勝物,亦是文房玩賞佳品。
